ISBD’s goal is to raise $15,000 to help support attendance for those from developing countries. This goal will allow ISBD to support anywhere from 85-200 attendees. A $75 individual contribution can support a trainee’s participation.

Disseminating knowledge on a global level is a cornerstone of our society and we have an opportunity to achieve this through our meeting. Moving our conference to a virtual platform allows us to make the meeting more accessible than ever by eliminating the cost of travel. We want to have as many people from around the world engage in our meeting and what ISBD has to offer. Despite the opportunity that exists, the virtual meeting is still just out of reach for many from developing countries. The ISBD has a strong network of chapters that can assist in identifying prospective delegates who may benefit most from participating in the meeting.
We have started a fundraiser for the ISBD Virtual Conference Scholarship Fund. The money we are able to raise will directly support the attendance of those from underdeveloped countries that do not have the means to cover registration costs for the meeting, allowing them access to this important event that they might not otherwise have had the opportunity to attend.
So how can you help? There is an option to donate to the scholarship fund during the registration process. Those that registered for the in-person event will have the opportunity to donate all or a portion of the difference of their registration fees to the scholarship fund when they transition their registration to the virtual event. Those that are not making plans to attend but would still like to donate can reach out to ISBD@ParthenonMgmt.com to arrange a donation.
